Karim Rayani is an entrepreneur, financier and mining executive with more than 20 years of experience in the global resource sector, specializing in mineral exploration, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and public company management. Throughout his career, he has focused on identifying, financing and advancing exploration-stage companies while creating long-term value for shareholders.
Mr. Rayani has extensive experience leading publicly listed resource companies through acquisitions, financings, exploration programs and corporate growth initiatives. He has built an extensive international network throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East.
As Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Ibero Mining Corp., Mr. Rayani is responsible for the Company’s strategic direction, corporate development, capital markets activities and growth strategy. Under his leadership, Ibero Mining has assembled a highly prospective portfolio of gold and copper exploration assets in Portugal, including the flagship Borba 2 Gold-Copper Project.
Mr. Rayani is also the founder of R7 Investments and R7 Capital Ventures and is an active natural resource investor. Through these platforms, he invests in and advises public and private companies across the mining and natural resource sectors. He also serves on the boards of public and private enterprises. His experience spans corporate governance, business development, international project evaluation, investor relations and strategic partnerships.
Mr. Branco is a senior geologist with over 38 years of experience. He is the managing partner of Geologia e Geotecnia Consultores, a boutique consulting firm specializing in mineral exploration based in Portugal. Prior to that, Mr. Branco was the Regional Exploration Manager, Europe for Lundin Mining overseeing Lundin Mining projects in Iberia and Europe. He led the team credited with discovering the new VHMS Semblana mineral deposit near Lundin’s Neves Corvo mine. Mr Branco also acted as exploration manager for Rio Narcea which was subsequently acquired by Lundin Mining. Prior to that he was a senior project geologist for BP Minerals/Rio Tinto and was a senior member of the team credited with discovering of the Las Cruces Cu-Au VHMS deposit in southern Spain and in the Gralheira intrusion-related gold deposit in northern Portugal.
Mr. Branco has authored and co-authored several technical publications. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Porto University in Portugal and was invited as a lecturer at the Geology Department of the Braga University.
Mr. Crawford, CPA, CA, holds a B. Com. from the University of Toronto and brings extensive experience as a senior financial executive. He has held positions in both public and private companies and has served as a partner in a national firm of chartered professional accountants. Brian is a founder and/or co-founder of several companies currently listed on the TSXV (TSX Venture Exchange) or the CSE (Canadian Securities Exchange). Presently, Brian serves as a Director, Corporate Secretary, and/or CFO of multiple TSXV or CSE listed companies, which include, Falcon Gold, Colibri Resource Corporation, Searchlight Resources Inc., CBLT Inc., and Tempus Capital Inc
